Anthology series American Horror Story has been renewed for three more seasons by American cable company FX.
The series currently airs in Australia on FOX Showcase (FOXTEL).
“Ryan [Murphy] and Brad [Falchuk] are the undisputed masters of horror TV, having created the anthological limited series with American Horror Story and sustaining its success for nearly a decade as FX’s highest-rated series,” said John Landgraf, chairman, FX Prods. and FX Networks.
The renewal sees the series make it to a milestone 13th season.
The upcoming 10th season was rumoured to be the last with series creator Ryan Murphy telling Deadline that viewers “will love [Season 10] as a result of it’s about reuniting fan-favorite actors… as a result of it could be our final season. It’s the final season we’ve contracted [at FX]. So, I’ve been quietly reaching out to numerous individuals. Some individuals I haven’t reached out to but as a result of I used to be like ‘Do I’ve a task for them?’ Up to now, everyone I reached out to mentioned ‘Sure’, in order that’s been nice.”
American Horror Story season 10 is expected to air later this year.
