Six years ago, I wrote this:
“I have mixed feelings about starting a blog…. I’m an avid blog reader – I love interpreting the way people to choose to articulate their feelings online. It’s almost like a form of asexual therapy. However, I’ve never been motivated to start my own blog – partially because I feel like that I don’t have anything majorly controversial to stay and…. because well…. I don’t like to think of myself as self-important. However, this morning I woke up and decided to start a blog (Thank-you to the four peps that will actually read it). That said, part of my intention of starting this blog is to find ways to articulate what’s going into my head – discover my purpose… the journey of personal growth.
I’ve read that personal growth is more than merely conditioning yourself to feel better about your life. I feel like it’s time to start refining my things in my life and stop feeling and acting like that awkward 15 year old high-school kid. Another reason why it’s probably essential for me to start building a blog is because of work. No doubt I’ll spend most of this blog – and in RL – talking about work in the future!
I’m a social media supporter at a major Australian free-to-air television station. Social Media is 50% of my working-life and I’ve kinda shun to it in my personal life. It’s time to redo some wrongs! Both this blog and the reactivation of my twitter account are two major steps to accomplishing this!
Until next time, Immy”
In six years, nothing has really changed. Here I am, 5:49am, sitting in a hotel in Farringdon, London deciding to reactivate this blog. Why? I have things to say. Why not? I have things I don't want people to hear. But I think now (new year, new me) it's time to start speaking louder.
